Paul Ince has attempted to calm the nerves around Molineux by urging Wolves to forget about the play-off race and focus solely on each game ahead. A disappointing defeat to Sheffield Wednesday ensured Glenn Hoddle's side missed a golden opportunity to close in on out-of-sorts Preston who were held to a draw by Plymouth, who Wolves visit on Saturday. Play-off rivals Cardiff failed to take advantage of Wolves' misfortunes by being held at home by QPR. Ince believes Wolves must distance themselves from the sixth-place scramble and adopt a 'game by game' mentality. "We've got to stop talking about the play-offs - that's my opinion," said the skipper. "Maybe too much talking about them puts added pressure on us and we really shouldn't be worrying about what other teams are doing. "It's a sad indictment when Wolves are looking at other teams. "We have to take each game as it comes and try to win as many as possible and hope it secures us a play-off place. That's got to start this weekend at Plymouth." The 38-year-old midfielder conceded Wolves had wasted yet another opportunity to heap pressure on spluttering Preston, who have won just one of their last eight games. But he believes they should take a thread of comfort from the fact that neither Preston nor Dave Jones' Cardiff were able to capitalise on Wolves' frustrating result.
