According to restaurateurs, dating coaches and relationship experts, the uncoupling of couples in public places happens more often than you might think.

For the most part, dining out is a happy occasion.

People enjoy good food and drinks in a warm, inviting, convivial atmosphere.

But some people turn the tables and believe that that same atmosphere is the perfect place to have ''the talk,'' also known as dumping.
