Beardslee directs the Judge Baker Children's Center 10-Year Preventive Intervention Project, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.

The intervention project has studied 100 families in which one or both parents have experienced serious affective disorder and who were exposed to two forms of cognitive, psychoeducational, preventive interventions: either clinician-facilitated and/or lecture discussion group interventions.

- A woman charged with snatching her children from their beds during a home invasion at their grandmother's house died after being hit by a bus, police said.

Headlines News of the Strange Breaking News Alerts Nora Montano, 35, was riding a bicycle when she ran a red light and was hit by a school bus about 7 a.m.

Monday, police said.

Montano was airlifted to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where she was pronounced dead from head trauma.

The driver of the bus and the 28 students from Everglades High School who were on board were not injured.

"By all indications, this seems to be a very tragic accident," said police spokesman Bill Robertson.
