But in the end...the judge decided Keller must serve time for inflicting the abuse.Oswald said, "He will be required to serve nine months and then he'll be eligible for parole after that."The judge also ordered Keller to continue anger management and alcohol treatment, in addition to taking his medication. March 17th, 2006 The A.D.D. Book A study reported that there was a huge increase in the amount of children taking anti-psychotic prescription drugs in recent years. These drugs are often used to treat attention deficit disorder (ADD) as well as other behavior problems. The problem is that the psychotic drugs have not been proven to work for a many of these children taking the drugs. The study was first reported in the March-April edition of the journal Ambulatory Pediatrics. Dr. William Cooper, a pediatrician with the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and lead author of the study made a statement of concern, "because it looks like these medications are being used for large numbers of children in a setting where we don't know if they work." The study reports that the number of children that have been prescribed anti-psychotic drugs went up an estimated 2.5 million in 2002 compared to 1995.
