However, if a Redding doctor determines she is addicted to or in danger of being addicted to drugs, Tara Lynn Selvester, 27, may spend just one year in a prison rehabilitation program.

Selvester pleaded no contest last month to involuntary manslaughter in the death her son Kadin Paul.

Charges of child abuse and failure to appear for her trial Jan.

18 were dismissed with the plea.

And a study released in January out of an Ottawa shelter showed people actually drank less on an alcohol maintenance program,” MacPherson was quoted as saying in a news story in The Province.

“They are still hardcore alcoholics but they are stabilized.”MacPherson said the Ottawa study showed that participants had much less contact with the police and emergency services when they got their booze for free.The booze of choice for these alcohol maintenance programs is red wine; probably one of those better ones that sell by the gallon.You are probably asking how Duncan comes into this.
