— Iowa Gov.

Tom Vilsack launched an aggressive letter-writing campaign to members of the Iowa delegation in the House today, telling them that the federal budget proposed by President Bush would "disrupt or dismantle services and protections for Iowans" in key areas.

The administration proposal would cut off 300,000 low-income Iowans from services by community action agencies, Vilsack said.

Eliminated would be everything from emergency food boxes for some low-income families to summer child care for some homeless children.

"It's outrageous, and it's not right, and ordinary poor folks are going to suffer," Vilsack said in an interview.

Vilsack said in his letter that the Bush budget also would zero out money that has been key for fighting methamphetamine abuse in Iowa, "eliminating federal support for state and local drug and crime fighting and potentially stopping our momentum dead in its tracks." And a little help towards one of these organizations in the city can go a long way. With the death of Hitler and Nazism, there came a greater global understanding of the Holocaust.

A greater respect and appreciation for the type of hell Holocaust survivors endured during their stays in these mini concrete hells like Auschwitz.

This is the type of message we should all take whenever vermin like Milosevic are wiped off the planet.

True good will always be man's greatest weapon against evil.

And the only way we're ever going to show it is if we are the ones that initiate change.

All of us must start the horns of peace.

Otherwise, we're no better than parasites, to paraphrase Agent Smith from "The Matrix." No politician or talking head will explain the inherent good of an individual with more perfect eloquence than ourselves.
