Dr.

Mark Douglas Gilliland, whose medical license has been temporarily suspended, faces two charges of intoxication assault and two charges of failing to stop and render aid.

The felony charges carry a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 fine.

The pedestrians, British women working as producers for a television show called "Animal Cops: Houston," both survived the 2005 wreck.

Gilliland was arrested after an off-duty Houston police officer noticed he was driving erratically, speeding, and that his windshield had been smashed, according to Texas Medical B...
