Home More 28 March 2006 KATE LINDS A HAND Kiki King, Eva Simpson & Caroline Hedley KATE Moss is warning actress Lindsay Lohan about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.

A source close to the 19-year-old tells us she's been "adopted" by Kate, 32, who is mentoring her as part of her process of recovery.

Our insider continues: "Kate's parents also got divorced when she was younger, and she's had a difficult relationship with her dad, so all of these things help the two connect.

Kate doesn't want Lindsay to go the way she did.

In January, the Mean Girls star told to Vanity Fair magazine: "I was sick.

I had people sit me down and say, 'You're going to die if you don't take care of yourself'." After the Mirror caught Kate taking cocaine last year she went into rehab for a month.
