From the evidence before me, these rumours appear unfounded.

They are wicked whispers the pair also vehemently refute.

"She used to raid the fridge - her constant line was, 'what's to eat mam?

She's been like that since I can remember," Marie continues.

Donna chips in: "I would happily be examined by any doctor.

I'm very well nourished.

I used to plan my days around my meals.

I couldn't even get iron deficiency when I was pregnant.

I'm quite happy - wish I had a bigger bum though!

" It's perhaps not surprising the rumours abound.

Donna, 26, is, after all, pencil thin.

But pencil thin in the most attractive way possible.

She has grown from being a bonny child into a stunning woman - long, flowing blonde locks, piercing blue eyes and a smile to lighten the darkest room.

Sitting next to her mam, it's easy to see where she gets her looks from.

Tomorrow they will be spending Mothering Sunday together, along with extended family.

Family, as I find out, is very important to the Airs.

Marie is even considering moving from Newcastle to London to be nearer her eldest daughter.

Of course, there's the slight matter of a grandaughter, too, who may be influencing her decision.

Donna's daughter Freya is now two and a half.

She has a doting mother and, if possible, an even more doting grandmother.

All will be celebrating tomorrow together with family, including Freya's great-grandmothers, both called Mary.
