My mother doesn't quite remember it that way, but we did have to buy all my clothes in the husky department at Sears.

I'd like to blame the problem on bad genes or a glandular disorder, but really, I just liked to eat.

And more than anything else, I liked to eat sugar.Easter was my favorite holiday.

The weather was nice.

All of the spring flowers were in bloom.

But most importantly, when I'd open my eyes on Easter morning, there would be a big wicker basket overflowing with candy sitting on the foot of my bed.

I was in heaven - breakfast in bed.

ADVERTISEMENT Before my brothers even woke up, I was digging through my basket.

Cadbury Creme Eggs.

Chocolate bunnies.

Marshmallow Peeps.

Jelly beans.

And my favorite, Elmer's Heavenly Hash Eggs.

I had no self control.

I would immediately start eating.
