Mom Accused in Kidnap, Impersonation PDF | Email By MARTHA WAGGONER, The Associated Press Mar 27, 2006 8:08 PM (1 hr 13 mins ago) ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. - A mother charged with abducting her two children was accused of posing as a man while on the run, and authorities say the heavyset woman with cropped hair and a slight mustache even had the kids calling her "Daddy."Shellie White, 30, said it was all a misunderstanding, claiming in a jail interview with The Associated Press that she never tried to hide her identity or change her appearance.White was arrested in Roanoke Rapids on Friday, more than two years after she allegedly took her children from Arizona. Investigators said she and another woman were living together as the children's father and mother.In a statement, the U.S. Marshals Service said White had "radically changed her appearance to that of a man.""She even went so far as to tell her children, aged 3 and 5 ... It occurs primarily among females in adolescence and young adulthood and is associated with the highest mortality rate of any mental disorder.This study is the first published in the medical literature to estimate how much liability for developing anorexia nervosa is due to genetics, and the first to find a statistically significant association between the prospective risk factor of neuroticism and later development of anorexia, said Dr. Cynthia M. Bulik, lead author of the study, published in the March issue of the Archives of General Psychiatry."What this study shows is that anorexia nervosa is moderately heritable and may be predicted by the presence of early neuroticism, which reflects proneness to depression and anxiety," Bulik said. "Fifty-six percent heritability - that's a fairly large contribution of genes. The remaining liability is due to environmental factors."Bulik is the William R. and Jeanne H.
