80 Shoes for Crews/Synergy Racing Porsche Takes Top Ten in Homestead and Finds Inspiration in Young Fan The Shoes for Crews/Synergy Racing Porsche competed in its third race of the season this past Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The #80 Shoes for Crews/Synergy Racing Porsche led the way for the Synergy Racing Grand Touring (GT) class effort in the Grand American Rolex series.

The team had an excellent showing at the south Florida track as a very special fan joined the team for the weekend.

Qualifying for the Grand Prix of Miami was held early Friday evening.

Porsche teams struck early on and the #80 Shoes for Crews/Synergy racing Porsche took 10th in the qualifying round.

Porsche GT3 Cup cars took seven of the top-ten spots in the Grand Prix of Miami qualifying.

Leh Keen and David Murry piloted the Porsche GT3 Cup car for the competition.

The two drivers maneuvered their way through the GT class field to finish the race in 6th place.

The children, aged 13 to 14, were treated in hospital for nausea and high heart rates after taking the up to 15 pills each in their lunch break at Narangba Valley State High School.

Teachers became aware the group had taken the pills when one of the affected girls came forward.

The school immediately called an ambulance, but waited about an hour to notify parents.

Police want to know where they got the drug and how it was distributed.

Paul Dillon from the Drug and Alcohol Research Centre said a number of young people experimented with ADHD drugs such as Ritalin.

"Of course, you are going to feel different, you are going to feel unpleasant effects," he said.
