Sides of mashed potatoes, rice pilaf, veggie medley and pasta with broccoli were snoozy.

The exception?

Wonderful thick, cheesy blintzes, more like crepes, really, but this is no time to quibble.

Desserts are by far the strongest part of the Wrigley brunch, and if you're like me, you'll have room for them.

The chocolate Baileys cheesecake, carrot cake, caramel nougat Bavarian, pecan tart, New York cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake are good enough to take your mind off the scenery.

The Wrigley Mansion is one of the Valley's gems, a "point of pride" that's worth boasting about.

Pending an upgrade, Sunday brunch isn't.
