9, 2007 04:20 PM A 26-year-old Mesa woman is seeking a $268,000 settlement from the City of Mesa saying officers violated her civil rights when they forced her to expose her breasts and removed her nipple and stomach rings in the presence of male officers and inmates.

In January, Mesa attorney Keith Knowlton filed a notice of claim, the first step in a lawsuit, on behalf of Aran Griffin against the Mesa Police Department, two detention officers, two police officers and a jail supervisor.

"It was absolutely disgusting.
