Over morning coffee last Friday, I read in my local paper, the Philadelphia Inquirer, a distressing lead story reporting on a recent study, published in the journal Science, saying global temperatures will rise by at least four degrees by the end of the century, with sea levels rising concomitantly by three feet over the same period.

27, 2006 Dow Jones Newswires The European Commission approved Pfizer Inc.'s (PFE) Lyrica for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder in adults.

New York-based Pfizer, the world's biggest drug maker, said the approval was based on five randomized double-blind clinical trials involving more than 2,000 patients which showed Lyrica to be significantly effective in relieving both emotional symptoms, such as depressive symptoms and panic, and physical symptoms, including headaches and muscle aches.

The most common adverse events reported in the study were dizziness and drowsiness.
