North-West jobless 'considered suicide'Mental health problems among long term unemployed in the North West of Northern Ireland are alarmingly high, it was revealed today. By:Press Association VIDEO COMMENTS HOT TOPIC RELATED STORIES More than one in five men out of work for at least six months even admitted seriously considering suicide, university research disclosed.Details of the level of despair among unemployed men in the the Derry, Limavady, Omagh, Strabane, and Fermanagh areas emerged as part of an investigation by the University of Ulster.
