Newton hospital expands diagnostic treatment center...ba href=/sleep/a/b disorder expert said this week. "If you've gone to ba href=/sleep/a/b at the wheel, you've gone to ba href=/sleep/a/b for 45 seconds imagine if you're going 60 mph and for 45 seconds you don't know where you are," said Clint Ackerman, director of outpatient services for Newton Memorial Hospital's new ba href=/sleep/a/b Diagnostic & Treatment Center. The hospital recently opened the center complete with four observation rooms to diagnose and treat common ba href=/sleep/a/b disorders that rob millions of Americans of a good night's ba href=/sleep/a/b. "Seventy million Americans suffer from ba href=/sleep/a/b deprivation," Christopher Lynch, chairman of the hospital's Board of Directors, said at Tuesday's ribbon-cutting ceremony. "There's nothing like a good night's ba href=/sleep/a/b to get you energized," Lynch said. "If you know anybody who has any issues with ba href=/sleep/a/bing, these are the people to see." Although it is a laboratory, the inside of the new center looks more like a hotel, with private baths, large double beds and plasma-screen televisions. Patients spend a night in the rooms while their ba href=/sleep/a/b cycles are monitored and observed on computers by technicians across the hall. The next day, patients can wake up and get ready to go to work right from the center. A newspaper will even be waiting for them, Ackerman said. Across the street from Newton Memorial Hospital, the center is an expansion of the two-room ba href=/sleep/a/b center the hospital had. According to Dr. Daya Nadarajah, co-medical director of the center, there was "very little respons...
